Amazing Digi Scrap Race Season 6

Playtime!

I had 2 days of school and now I'm off for 3 days and want to play with some scrapping, but most likely won't get to do alot because.....I am the official Team Leader for our local elementary school's Relay for Life team. I'm pretty excited about it. It's a great community event and very near and dear to my heart for obvious reasons. I've actually been involved for the last several years with the school, but the teacher who has been in charge of it in the past was too busy to take it on this year. My mama and I decided we were not going to let our school just drop out and so here I am. I have about a zillion and one things to get done, but I did manage to get a couple pages done these last few days so here goes:

This is my girl getting to swing on her christmas present for the first time! Grandaddy finally had a chance to get it put together and the weather has been sorta nice for the last few weeks too! Using template from scrapmatters and kit is 3 Little Birds by Amy Stoffel.

Beach Retreat!!

After 3 days of not being able to move or sit up without faintin or puking, I finally got around to scrapping my fantanbulous, wonderific, relaxinatin' beach scrapbooking retreat and here are the purty pages that I came up with. I feel much better though, I'm thinking it was a vertigo attack with strep throat from drinking behind my lovely daughter who stuck a half bottle of water back in the fridge. Anyway, I used Plum Dumpling Designs' Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow kit and template from Trixie Scraps at www.scrapmatters.com

Music Man!!

I had the BEST massage I've ever had yesterday when Lori and I had our "girly" day LOL. Manis/pedis/massage, really can't get much better than that! I just forgot to take any pics! Oh well, I'll probably do a scrapbook page without pictures about it anyway!

This page is one of my favorites I've done so far! I love blended photo pages and this one is just so special to me! I am EXTREMELY proud of my son for learning how to play the bass! He is learning from my daddy who plays for our church and of course everything grandaddy does, Britt does too LOL. I am so glad that he has such a fine man to follow in the footsteps of. You can't get much better than my daddy!

PROJECT SCRAPBOOK ROOM has Commenced :)

and I can't wait to get it finished!!! I have already picked out some furniture and a rug, and certainly have a FULL closet of stuff to unload in there. It will be wonderful to just be able to walk in, sit down, scrap and LEAVE it there LOL. It takes forever to find anything now and I have no dedicated space to spread out. I have to pull a card table out, a chair, pull the trashcan in there, dig through stacks and stacks of stuff and still can't find exactly what I'm needing.......

Well the mason leveled up my back porch and got my foundation ready so Daddy can start at the end of this month HINT, HINT, HINT DADDY :) I LOVE YOU!!! So here are the pics I took Tuesday and today!!

Tomorrow I will go out there and take a full shot of the whole backside of the house! This room is going to be 8 feet wide by 23 feet long. It will also be a back entrance so not all of it is scrapping space, but most of it will be. Will be back tomorrow with some spa day pics with my bestie Lori!!

I Got a Makeover!!!

A blog makeover that is :) Jady Day Studios did me right with this gorgeous new look! I decided a new look, for a new start! Life has a way of taking sharp turns and curves when we least expect it and mine is no exception. After losing my beloved Steve last July 4th to cancer, I couldn't scrap. For one thing, I was too busy picking up the pieces of broken dreams and hopes, and moving and starting school and getting my kids settled back in a different school AGAIN. For another thing, anytime I would start to scrap, I would remember what was going on, who was there, what he said or did or had to say about that moment and it was just too painful to keep going. So I bit the bullet and went to a beach crop retreat the end of January with some good friends and just scrapped and cried! I got almost all of last years pictures finished and have a zillion ideas for new projects I want to start. Project Scrapbook Room has commenced as of yesterday (the foundation is getting done) and although I'm loving all the digital scrapping I've been doing, I'm ready for my new room to get finished so I can get my hands into my paper stash again :)

Until then there will be lots of digital pages for me to get caught up on, starting now!!! Tomorrow I will post some pics of the foundation of my NEW scrapbook room in progress.

I have so many LO's to upload that unless I know right off hand who designed what, this post might not have all the credits I need, but I can say that almost all of the stuff came from my FAVORITE digital scrapbooking site http://www.scrapmatters.com/ The designers there are amazing!
